Best of Dorota
The Dorota Miskiewicz's album "Best Of" is the summary of a certain period in her artistic life and shows a variety of waters that the artist sailed across. The compilation album sparkles with colours. It starts with a premiere song but this is not the only incentive to buy the CD. It includes rarer songs, unavailable on the CDs in shops. It is, first of all, the duet with Cesaria Evora, duet with Jerzy Wasowski as well as a Balkan melody called "Anna Joanna" (Jovano Jovanke)! It is, at last, the duet with a jazz piano virtuoso Stefano Bollani, which has only been published in Italy so far ! Of course there are compulsory items like: "Pod Rzęsami" with which Dorota Miśkiewicz and Grzegorz Turnau started their co-operation, "Poza Czasem" - the song that enabled Dorota to become existent on radio stations or 'Nucę, Gwiżdżę Sobie" - a must piece in every Dorota's concert. The "Best Of" album does not present the whole spectrum of Dorota's output. There are no songs for children on it that have been recorded with Kwadrofonik musical group, there is not a single song that appeared on her first album, there are not all songs to which video clips have been made. The album includes, however, a few import_ant pieces, that were extracted from their natural environment as are the albums "Pod Rzęsami", "Caminho" and "Ale" but now they get that new context and create a little different story.
